Legacy RS232 versions connect between your PC's 9 Pin RS232 Port and the 3.5mm CI-V Jack on suitably equipped Icom Radios. The PTT/CW versions of the interface have second lead terminated in standard Icom 8 or 13 pin accessory 1 connector carrying the PTT signal

Leagacy RS232 verions powered from your PC's RS-232 port and so requires no additional PSU. You must ensure that your chosen software can raise the RS232 "DTR" signal to provide the interface with power. The main software packages listed above have this facility and work 100% with my products.
